Hewlett Packard released two new HPE partner restricted sales certifications on November 2nd: HPE sales certified – SMB Solutions and Services [2016] and HPE sales certified – Enterprise solutions [2016]. To become certified, candidates must pass either the Selling HPE SMB Solutions and Services HPE2-E64 exam or the Selling HPE Enterprise Solutions HPE2-E65 exam.
Both credentials are for Hewlett Packard Enterprise sales professionals in the HPE channel partner network as well as HPE employees. The new certifications assess candidates’ ability recognize potential customers and sell opportunities, skills in representing HPE solutions versus competitors, and overall knowledge of HPE products.
The HPE2-E64 Exam is focused on SMB solutions and services to data centers, including storage, networking, and servers. HPE2-E65 covers HPE enterprise products that enable transformations in four core IT areas, including hybrid infrastructure, protection and empowering, as well as workplace productivity. Earning one of the HPE Partner Restricted Sale Certifications will make you stand out from your competitors as a solution-focused expert. You can also increase your sales by using the best selling opportunities.
Both exams are web-based and administered online by Pearson VUE testing organisation. They can be accessed online with 24-hours access. After registration, you can access the exam online. However, the test must be completed within 24 hours of purchase to avoid it becoming expired. To register for the test you will need your HPE Learner ID. This can be obtained online at HPE Learner Center.
Each exam has 50 questions and lasts approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. HPE2-E64 includes multiple-choice and single-choice questions. HPE2-E65 has matching and drag-n drop questions. Both exams are in English. The required passing score for both exams is 70%.
Selling HPE SMB Solutions and Services HPE2-E64 Exam Goals
The credential consists of four main parts. 10% of the questions are about HPFS and Transitional Areas. 35% of the questions are about Servers. Candidates should demonstrate their knowledge of various HPE server series, technologies, and their selling skills. 30% of the questions relate to storage types, technologies, and selling techniques. 20% are network questions.

This Exam consists of seven main sections: Introduction (10%) Understanding customer needs for Transforming To A Hybrid Infrastructure (20%) Validating the Opportunity to Transform to a Hybrid Infrastructure (20%) Understanding, Validating and Qualifying The Opportunity to Protect Your Digital Enterprise (10%) Understanding, Validating and Qualifying The Opportunity to Empower the Data-driven Organization (10%) Understanding, Validating and Qualifying The Opportunity to Enable Workplace Productivity (10%)
