VMware Certification Exams in 2022
Three exams that will retire in 2021 and 2022 are now the right time. Let’s take a closer look at their replacements and how they compare to them.
1) Professional VMware vRealize automation 8.1 (2V0-31.20), and Professional VMware vRealize automation 8.3 (2V0-31.21).
December 31, 2021 is the retirement date for Professional VMware vRealize automation 8.1 (2V0-31.20). It will be replaced by the Professional VMware vRealize Automation 8.3 (2V0-31.21). It demonstrates that applicants have the necessary expertise in VMware Cloud automation solutions as well as the skills required to install, configure, manage, and perform basic troubleshooting in a VMware vRealize Automation environment. The test covers vRA Envrion Scale out standard vs. clustered and architecture of vRealize automation, including Kubernetes pods, Lifecycle Manager, and Workspace ONE access. It assesses the skills of the specialists in preparing prerequisites for the installation, performing a simple install using vRealize Simple Installer, configuring vRealize Automation utilizing Quick Start, as well as performing manual installation using Lifecycle Manager. You will also need to be able to configure identity sources, access management, and set up Cloud Accounts. The new qualification exam tests one’s ability to integrate vRealize Automation and vRealize Opera, configure Capability Tags, install SaltStack Config while utilizing vRealize suite Lifecycle Manager, create Cloud Template to Deploy Minions, and configure Basic Pipelines Endpoints and Code Stream Endpoints. It has 67 questions and takes 130 minutes. The registration fee is $250 and it can be taken in English. This test is required to obtain the VMware Certified Professional Cloud Management and Automation certificate.
2) VMware Professional Horizon 7.7 (2V0-31.20), and Professional VMware Horizon 8.x (2V0-51.21)
The 2V0-31.20 exam will be retired on February 28, 2022. Its replacement is VMware 2V0-51.21. It focuses on installing, configuring and managing VMware Horizon and related software.
