Are you still looking for the perfect certification in information security and data protection? Veeam Software, a Swiss IT company has just launched VMCE, their new certification program.
VMCE stands for Veeam Certified Engineer. It was established with the aim of improving data protection standards worldwide. Veeam Software is based in Baar, Switzerland and has offices all over the world. It specializes in virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery software. The company’s first certification program was developed and implemented in close collaboration with Pearson Vue. This exam is available.
Veeam claims that the new credential validates holders’ technical knowledge to design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot Veeam in production environments. Veeam’s ProPartner Program provides tools, support, and training to partners in order to accelerate growth and profitability. Veeam’s goal is to empower partners to become trusted advisors for customers and gain a long-term edge in the modern data center market.
Are you ready for investment?
VMCE may not be able to compete with the certifications we are so familiar with. Candidates must complete a VMCE technical course at Veeam’s Authorized Training Centers. They must also pass with a minimum 70% score. The course is $3000 and may be prohibitive for many candidates. Veeam stresses that partners can create a discount structure when purchasing seats for various classes. However, don’t expect the VMCE price to be too low. Veeam calls this an “investment” and emphasizes that this certification targets serious candidates who are interested in a long-term, successful career with Veeam.
